Maye is a traditional food in northern China which tasted crispy and yummy. In the past, we prepared a lot for personal friends who came to visit during the Chinese New Year, but now it has become a very common snack. Its cooking method is very simple. First, mix flour, water, sesame seeds, sugar or salt together. Then, knead it into a non-stick dough, and use a rolling pin to slowly press the dough into a thin slice. Third, use a knife to cut the slice into strips about 6 cm long and 2 cm wide, and cut a small slit in the middle of the strip. Take a section of the long strip through the slit to form a twisted shape, deep fry in hot oil until golden and ready to eat.
